Fenwick Garden Studio
Underused garden → a self-contained studio and a planted garden that works from the house to the back fence.
The aim was to win usable, separate space at home without extending the house itself: a quiet room at the bottom of the garden to work in and retreat to, and a garden worth looking at from it.
A compact studio sits along the rear boundary, clad in dark timber so it settles into the planting rather than dominating it. Full-height glazing faces back up the garden, and a new run of porcelain paving with deep planted borders ties the studio to the house. The rear living space was opened up with sliding doors and rooflights, so the garden reads as part of the home.
