A small London practice that designs to your house, not to a signature.

Stephen obtained his architecture degree from Victoria University of Wellington in his native New Zealand, where he began his career and designed award-winning houses. Following two years designing chalets in Whistler, Canada, Stephen spent over a decade working in leading London practices (inc. Dixon Jones and Allies & Morrison) before founding Bon Atelier in 2014.

Stephen leads every architectural project personally, from the first conversation through feasibility, design, planning, technical drawings, and build management. He will be sketching the first concept and on site during the build, drawing on a quietly international perspective and a deep familiarity with London's housing stock.

Laure retrained as an interior designer at Chelsea College of Arts (UAL) in 2025, following a career in communications and marketing. She brings a sharp editorial eye and French flare to her design. Her narrative approach focuses on atmosphere and helps clients articulate how they want a space to feel.

Laure specialises in harmonising materials, colours, and soft furnishings, with a focus on tactility to deliver spaces that feel amazing day-to-day. She leads interior design projects and manages the interior design elements of refurbishments and extensions.
